GRVT established the world’s first regulated DEX in Singapore during February 2025 by naming Chris Thomas to lead its Blockchain & Corporate Security division and Suren Markosov for Quantitative Research.
The platform expansion requires GRVT to enhance its security measures and advanced trading features, which led to the strategic appointment of Chris Thomas and Suren Markosov at key positions.
The seasoned software developer Chris Thomas possesses two decades of programming experience and fifteen years concentrated in information security, particularly for blockchain systems.
As head of blockchain security and audits at Crypto.com after IBM and NCC Group, he played management roles in his career. As a GRVT key member, Chris directs his efforts to strengthen blockchain security measures and establish industry-leading security protocols that protect institutional and retail users.
Suren Markosov joined GRVT after establishing his extensive career in algorithmic trading and risk management. Before joining Bullish Exchange as a quantitative research lead, he achieved executive positions at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse while working at Bullish Exchange.
Markosov’s specialized expertise at GRVT will strengthen the trading infrastructure while building better liquidity functions and risk management strategies.
The new employers are essential to GRVT’s mission, according to CEO Hong Yea, who disclosed his enthusiasm during his announcement. These strategic additions to the team will establish new performance and safety milestones at GRVT as the organization accelerates its growth by delivering secure, efficient markets to institutional and retail customers.
